25-45 Animals permitted as an accessory use.

Domestic animals may be kept or maintained as household pets for the personal use of members of the family subject to the following restrictions:

(a) Each dwelling unit having a minimum lot area of not less than thirteen thousand five hundred square feet may keep or maintain one of the following animals: horse, donkey, steer, burro, bovine, sheep, goat or pony.

(1) One additional animal listed above may be added for each additional one thousand five hundred square feet of land area within said lot to a maximum of four such animals on eighteen thousand square feet of land area.

(2) One additional animal listed above may be added for each additional five thousand square feet above the eighteen thousand square feet.

(b) Each dwelling unit having a minimum lot area of thirteen thousand five hundred square feet may keep or maintain the following animals:

(1) Dogs - maximum of three over four months of age.

(2) Cats - maximum of three over four months of age.

(3) Chickens, ducks, geese, pigeons, and other small domesticated fowl - maximum of twenty-five total.

(4) Rabbits, chinchillas, guinea pigs, and other small animals - maximum of twenty-five total. (Ord. No. 307, ยง 1)
